Day 2. 140 miles. Suffer to get into a rhythm on the climbs on the coast, then ride
into a gutter to avoid a camper in a tunnel...and the gutter is "U"
shaped with slimy moss! Crash hard, luckily the sound of the vehicle passing
was really the oncoming vehicles echo in the rock carved tunnel. Snapped the
rack off the back of the bike, thought I snapped my right ankle as well. Limped
out of tunnel, assessed damage, stuffed everything into my camelback, and
headed down the hill. New rack put on 25 miles later by Bikes 101. Stopped off
at Rite-Aid for Aleve and arthritis creme for the pain. Almost couldn't find a
place to stay the night, everything full. Pulled in again at 10:30.
